No Guest Cameras on Adventure Trips
As part of Outdoor’s safety policy, we don’t allow guests to carry or use cameras of any kind on some of our advanced adventure trips. We apologize for any inconvenience, but safety is our main concern and the use of cameras on our action trips can cause a number of unnecessary risks.
As advised by the leading experts in the helmet manufacturer industry, we follow their recommendation in avoiding camera mounts on our helmets, because over a longer period, the glue can alter the chemical components of the outer shell of the helmets, leaving them increasingly brittle and with a lower protection value.
Bringing cameras is not accepted for different reasons:
Both hands free
You need both of your hands most of the time to paddle, hold on, climb down, brace yourself, help others or be assisted. Therefore, using one or both hands to operate a camera is unsafe.
Distraction
Handling cameras can distract from paying full attention to the guide's instructions and the surroundings. We want you to fully immerse yourself in the adventure without the distraction of capturing photos/videos.
Injury risk
Cameras on sticks, chest mounts, wrist mounts, or simply handheld impose an increased risk for injury and/or loss while jumping, sliding, paddling, and swimming down rivers and canyons.
Professional photo/video service
Our team includes professional photo-/videographers who will document your adventure (except the Simme Rafting). Photos and high-quality videos will be available for purchase after the trip, allowing you to enjoy the moment without the worry of taking pictures.
