Sled building

Each team will build its own racing sled and attempt to beat the other teams during the subsequent competition in the categories of distance and creativity.

After splitting up into teams, each of you will attempt to build a raceable sled with the basic frame set on skis, materials and tools provided by us. Each team also has the option use any funds provided by their own company to purchase additional materials from our own stock of materials or receive assistance building the go-cart from a professional in the workshop.

Once participants have finished building their sleds, they must pass the safety check before being allowed to enter the race. Out on the race course, each driver’s goal is to cover the farthest possible distance. Extra points will be awarded for creativity and innovation in building the sled. Finally, each team will design a team flag, which will also be factored into the judges’ scores. Afterwards, we will be happy to host a reception with refreshments or dinner to celebrate achievements properly and present the results and hard-earned trophy to the winning team.

This event is designed to facilitate team building:

Sled building is the perfect team building activity because it requires participants to cooperate in the planning, decision making, building, testing – and having fun.
