Jubilee ice axe in training!

As befits a newcomer, our jubilee axe completed the basic skills course in ski touring on glaciers. Although he was not allowed to participate as an anchor in the snow, he excelled at scoring the T-slot! 

He was impressed by the crevasse rescue exercise. He made it to the Hollandia Hut without a problem and even into the kitchen where he posed with the new hut crew.

Fog and a bit of wind didn't faze him. In the Anujoch, after all, at over 3600 m. 

Last but not least, socialising was not to be missed. There he was, right in the middle of the final drink in Blatten 🍻
