Kids Group Ski Lessons

We offer kids group ski lessons at these locations:

Bodmi Arena
The Bodmi Arena is our ski school area, which offers beginners and slightly advanced skiers the perfect infrastructure. It is located in the village of Grindelwald.

• Levels: Bambini & Blue Prince (next to the kids club), as well as Blue King & Blue Star (at the t-bar lift)
• Reachable in 15 minutes by bus from Grindelwald village centre
• Accompanying persons do not need a ski pass to reach the Bodmi Arena

First ski area
In the ski area First we teach advanced skiers and pros.

• Levels: Red Prince, Red King, Red Star, Black Prince & Swiss Snow Academy
• Meeting point at the First cable car bottom station in Grindelwald village centre (exception: afternoon lessons)
• Accompanying persons do not need a ski pass to get to the meeting point

Männlichen ski area
In the Männlichen ski area, we welcome beginners to advanced skiers.

• Levels: Bambini, Blue Prince, Blue King, Blue Star, Red Prince, Red King & Red Star
• Meeting point in the ski area (on the mountain)
• Suitable location if accompaying persons have a ski pass

We offer morning lessons daily throughout the winter season. It is possible to start the course from Saturday to Wednesday (exception Blue Prince only from Saturday to Monday). Your child may be taught by different snow sports instructors.

*Applies only if either a minimum of 5 days is booked from the beginning or if a minimum of 5 days is extended on the first day of lessons before 5:00pm.

If you are not yet sure whether your child will enjoy group lessons, book just one day at first. If you extend to at least 5 days on the first day of lessons before 5:00pm, you will still benefit from the special price. It is also possible to extend day by day (+ CHF 70 per additional day).

Extensions are welcome until 5:00pm on the day of the lesson.
 

Season pass half day lesson

 Daily: 23.12.2024 - 3.1.2025
 Monday-Friday: 27.1. - 7.3.2025

We offer full day lessons on the dates above. Together with the ‘children registered for the morning only’, lessons take place from 10:00am to 1:00pm. Lunch is then served in the kids' club at Bodmi Arena or in the restaurant at First (exception Swiss Snow Academy: lunch not included). In the afternoon, the programme for Bambini and Blue Prince includes fun and games outdoors or indoors (without skis), while children from Blue King upwards consolidate and consolidate what they have learnt in the morning in groups with greater differences in level. It is possible to start the course from Monday to Wednesday (exception Blue Prince only Monday).

We only offer group lessons in the afternoon during the above-mentioned period. It is possible to start the course from Saturday to Wednesday (exception Blue Prince only Saturday to Monday).

• Varied lessons according to Swiss Snow League
• Tea break
• Lunch (only for full day lessons, excl. Swiss Snow Academy)

• Complete ski equipment (10% discount available at Outdoor rental shops)
• Ski clothes
• Snack for the tea break
• Ski pass (depending on lesson location, level & age)

The rental equipment must be purchased in advance from the Outdoor Shop & Café at Dorfstrasse 103 in Grindelwald. Please note that the journey from the shop by bus or car takes approx. 15 minutes to the Bodmi Arena or Männlichenbahn (+ approx. 25 minutes gondola ride). The Firstbahn valley station can be reached in 5 minutes by bus or car.

Ski passes can also be bought at our shop in the village or at the Bodmi Arena.

At the start of lessons at 10:00am:

• 09:00am First cable car bottom station
• 09:40am Bodmi Arena
• 09:40am Männlichen mountain station, by the wooden cow (playground)

For afternoon lessons starting at 1.45pm:

• 1.40pm Schreckfeld station (First cable car, 2. station)
• 1.40pm Bodmi Arena

In order for the course to take place as advertised, we need at least 4 participants. If there are fewer registrations, we will inform you the evening before the course. If there are 2-3 participants, there will be shorter lessons (at the same price). If there is only one enrolment, group lessons cannot take place; we will offer you private lessons as an alternative.

Booked group lessons can be cancelled by the participant up to 5pm on the evening before the first day of the lesson without incurring any costs. Cancellations after this time with a valid medical note will also be 100% refunded. Participants will be charged 100% for all other cancellations made after 5:00pm on the evening before the lesson.
