Swiss Snow League

This is how the Swiss Snow League works

Choose your league! Ski League or Snowboard League. Your progress is entered in the Snow League Booklet. To successfully complete a level, you need to have mastered all four forms of this level… And you are then awarded a medal.

Ski - Snowli Kids Village League

Bambini

You are between 3 and 5 years old and have never been on skis before, or only a few times.

In the Snowli Kids Village, you will learn about snow and skis in a playful way. Together with our ski instructors you will practice walking, skiing straight ahead, braking and at the end of the week you might even make your first small turns!

The lessons take place in our Kids Village. Ski poles are not required.

Ski - Blue League

Your skiing career is still in the early stages and you have great ambitions.  You learn how to ski down simple slopes in the plough position and also how to do parallel skiing. There is no shortage of fun and enjoyment in the snow either.

Blue Prince / Princess

You are older than 5 years and have never been on skis before or only a few times. If you have passed the "Bambini" level last year, you can also join if you are younger.

In this level you learn or improve your skills in walking with the skis and start to ski in the plow, to brake and to make first turns.

Lessons begin in our Kids Village. Ski poles are not required.

Blue King / Queen

You have already been able to gain some experience skiing and can already brake, stop and go straight in the plow without any problems. Putting on and taking off the skis, walking around with the skis on and getting up on your own after a fall are hardly a problem for you anymore.

In this level, you learn to use the plow selectively in your turns and to ski more parallel across the slope. In addition, the first waves and small jumps are introduced! The biggest challenge will be learning to slide sideways, or ‘sideslip’, a technique that will accompany you all your life.

The lessons will take place in the beginner area, so you will learn to use the plate lift and a ski ticket. Ski poles will be used some of the time.

Blue Star

You have been on skis for several seasons and can use the plate lift. You are confident on skis, but are still braking using the plow.

In the last level of the Blue League, you learn to use your turns safely on more difficult blue slopes. In addition, you will be introduced to your first slaloms, and how to ski backwards.

The lessons take place in the beginner area. Ski poles are sometimes used.

Ski - Red League

As an advanced skier, you will have fun improving your skiing skills. You will acquire the basics for jumps and will be able to master red slopes safely and dynamically with parallel turns. Now the fun really begins – the fascination of skiing has truly taken hold of you!

Red Prince / Princess

You can slide down a slope sideways without any problems and also master more difficult blue slopes safely with plow turns. You always get up on your own after slight falls.

In this level you learn to brake without the plow. Parallel skiing will be practiced and will take you all your life down the slopes afterwards. In addition, you will learn, for example, the waltz - skiing can also be dancing!

The lessons take place at the ski resort, so you'll also learn what to look for when using the gondola and chairlifts. Ski poles are required.

Red King / Queen

You always ski with your skis in a parallel position, allowing you to tackle more difficult blue runs. You have also mastered red slopes independently and without falling.

In this level you will learn to ski your turns with different radii and on more difficult slopes. In addition, the jumps and behavior in the snow park will be looked at.

Lessons take place at the ski resort and ski poles are required.

Red Star

You are able to ski short turns on more difficult blue runs and feel comfortable on steep red runs.

In the last level of the Red League you will learn to ski on one leg and to ski backwards with parallel ski position. You will also practice the giant slalom and perfect your short turns on difficult red slopes - especially the targeted use of poles, which will challenge you but also help you enormously!

The lessons take place in the ski resort and ski poles are required.

Ski - Black League

Your goal is to ski dynamically and safely on all slopes.  You can skilfully master parallel turns off-piste. You learn how to embellish simple jumps with a cool trick.

Black Prince / Princess

You have mastered the parallel turn in different radii on all slopes. Single leg skiing is no problem for you on blue slopes. You also ski quickly and safely on black slopes.

In the last level of the Swiss Snow League, you learn to use short turns on black slopes. Tricks in the snow park and skiing in unprepared snow are part of the program, as well as the introduction of the fastest turn in snow sports - the carve turn.

Lessons take place at the ski resort and ski poles are required.

Swiss Snow Academy

The Academy is all about targeted improvements to your skiing skills. You can hone your race turns, push your freestyle skills to unimagined heights and discover the unprepared terrain of your ski resort while freeriding. Will you manage to complete the entire skill set?

Lessons take place in ski area, poles are required. Lessons last the whole day.

Snowboard - Blue League

Your snowboarding career is still in the early stages and you have great ambitions. You are learning the first turns and tricks and can snowboard on easy pistes and try out different moves safely in the snow park. Your love of snowboarding has been awakened and has whetted your appetite for more.

Blue Prince / Princess

You have never been on a snowboard before or only a few times.

In this level you will get to know the snowboard. You will practice sliding, going straight and making turns and - depending on your progress - using the plate lift.

Lessons take place in the beginner area.

Blue King / Queen

You already have some experience on the snowboard and can ride turns on both sides as well as easy blue runs.

In this level you will learn how to make turns and consolidate your riding style on the slopes, and you will already learn your first tricks!

The lessons take place in the ski resort.

Snowboard - Red League

As an advanced snowboarder, you will have fun improving your snowboarding skills. You will learn new tricks and be able to master the slopes and the snow park safely and dynamically. Now the fun really begins – the fascination of snowboarding has truly taken hold of you!

You are already able to make turns on steeper terrain and to start to ride with your other leg forward (switch). Several piste tricks are in your repertoire.

As an advanced snowboarder, you will playfully improve your riding skills in this level. You learn new tricks as well as safe and dynamic riding on the slopes and in the snowpark. Now the fun really starts - the fascination of snowboarding will not let you go.

The lessons take place in the ski resort.
