Ski Tour around the Jungfrau
This 2-day ski tour around the Jungfrau treats you to short ascents and long descents, with the mighty mountain always in view. On the first day you will explore the southern side of the mountain, via the Lötschenlücke, before moving to the north side of the Jungfrau on the second day. Here, a visit to the glacier plateau of Petersgrat and the descent to the Lauterbrunnen valley provide an unforgettable conclusion to this multiday tour.

Day 1: Over the Lötschenlücke into the Lötschental
Meet your guide at Grindelwald Terminal and take the Eiger Express to Eigergletscher. From here you will continue by train to the Jungfraujoch. Under the expert guidance of your mountain guide, you will ski towards Konkordiaplatz. From there you will mount your skins and climb over the Grossen Aletschfirn to the Lötschenlücke. Your rewards at the top include a breath-taking view of the Aletschhorn north face and the quiet stillness of this unique mountain environment. Your descent over the Lang Glacier into the Lötschental is long and no less impressive than the ascent. In Blatten you will settle into your cosy hotel and enjoy the evening with a view of the Lötschenlücke.
Day 2: Over the Petersgrat 3207m into the Lauterbrunnental
After breakfast you will take the post bus to the Lauchernalp cable car. From the top station you will traverse the Bietschhorn high above the Lötschental to the Petersgrat. From behind the glacier plateau of Petersgrat, the steep Lauterbrunnen valley will begin to open up. An exciting ski descent through wonderfully wild terrain leads you past the Mutthorn, along the Tanzboden (“dance floor”), to Trachsellauenen in the back of the Lauterbrunnen valley. Here you will reach the road and descend to Stechelberg, where you will travel by bus to the Lauterbrunnen station to begin your journey home. The descent into the Lauterbrunnen valley requires safe snow conditions. If this is not possible, we would explore other possibilities of returning from the Lötschental, and the return journey to Interlaken would be by way of Spiez.
