What is "Swisstainable"?
Sustainability should become a competitive advantage for Swiss tourism and a real added value for guests - together we are working on the vision of Switzerland as a sustainable tourist destination. To this end, the sustainability program Swisstainable was developed last year by Switzerland Tourism in collaboration with the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and the Swiss tourism industry as a sustainability program "by the industry for the industry". The program is intended to create transparency and orientation for guests and make the sustainability efforts of the tourism sector more visible. The Swisstainable signet thereby honors sustainably committed businesses and helps to put tourism sustainability into practice and to live it.
