Saaser 4000m peaks
A few of the 4000m peaks around Saas Fee are not too difficult, we climb three of them. This trip also suits mountaineers with little experience. But careful, once you have stood on one of these wonderful summits, you may be hooked forever; the passion for climbing mountains might make you go back there over and over again!

Day 1: Meeting point Saas Fee and ascent to Britannia Hut 3030m
We meet in Saas Fee and head together to the cable car station, which greatly facilitates our first day. From Felskinn, we then hike on the beautiful panoramic path towards our accommodation. Here we may discover the Chessjen Glacier a unique Alpine spectacle. Shortly after, we arrive at the hut where we get installed for a 2 night stay.
Day 2: Ascent to the Strahlhorn 4190m
It starts early in the morning, in probably one of the largest SAC hut in the Alps. With a decent hike we get down to the Hohlaub Glacier, which soon guides us to the huge Allalin Glacier. Roped up we ascent south towards the Adler Pass, which appears in the far distance. The final ascent on short rope guides us to the 4190m summit and opens up a spectacular view.
Day 3: From Allalinhorn 4027m to Feechopf and descent to Täschhütte 2701m – crossing over to Täschhütte 2701m, depending on actual conditions to the Allalinhorn 4027m
Depending on the circumstances, condition and group size, we offer various options. On one hand, we have the option to walk to the Metro Alpin station of the Saas Fee mountain railways and ride to Mittelallalin. The ascent to the Allalinhorn lasts for about 3 hours and is considered as less difficult route. However, the following travers over the Feekopf puts our skills to the test. The descent from the Alphubeljoch to the Täschhütte rewards us with a fantastic view into the Mattertal. This is the perfect highlight to end a successful day. The other option via the Allalin Pass is considered as an easier route but is as impressive as the others due to the huge glacier areas. We cross south of the Allalin and Feekopf cliffs and hit towards Alphubelgletscher. Soon we hit onto the same descent route below the Alphubeljoch as in Option 1.
Day 4: Climb to Alphubel 4206m and descent to Saas Fee
Again, today we are having a very early start. Over the "Chummibodmen" we reach the Alphubelgletscher and ascent to the Alphubeljoch at 3782m. Before tackling the last bit, we strengthen ourselves with a snack out of our backpack. Once at the summit, we not only may enjoy the fantastic views, we also breathe this incredible fresh mountain air, of which you easy get addictive... The descent takes us along the Feegletscher to the Längflue mountain station. The cable car brings us back to Saas Fee and the journey will bring us home later in the afternoon.
