Day 1: Ascent via the southeast ridge to the Mönch 4107m

Meet your guide at Grindelwald Terminal and make your way to the Jungfraujoch. You will begin your hike by skis in the direction of the Mönchsjoch hut and quickly your ascent route along the southeast ridge will come into view. At the bottom of the climb you will deposit your ski gear and climb with crampons. The lower section of the climb will lead you to the rain gauge, and from there you will easily climb to the first snow ridge. From here you will be rewarded with spectacular views to the north. You will continue your ascent to the pre-summit, where the east face of the Mönch dominates the view. You’ll carefully continue over the last narrow snow ridge and climb to the snow-covered summit. The view offered by the Mönch summit is expansive, and you’ll overlook the entire Swiss midland. You’ll descend along the same route. At the Mönchsjoch hut we relax and get ready for the next day.

Day 2: Ascent to the Jungfrau 4158m

Early in the morning, we start our tour to the Jungfrau. A short descent brings us quickly to the Jungfraujoch and further onto the Jungfraufirn. We put the skins on our skis and start the climb. Step by step, we ascent to the col Rottal, where we leave our skis behind and change to the crampons. After a short break, we continue on some steeper firn sections mixed with some climbing parts. Soon after, we are at the top! The view is breathtaking, the mountain guide explains the different mountains we see before we start descending back to the Rottal. Here we put on the skis and ski down to the Jungfraufirn. A short uphill part to the train station Jungfraujoch finishes our unforgettable trip!
