Glacier experience Jungfraujoch
Push your limits on the glacier hike to experience something new and unforgettable.
Hiking above the mighty Aletsch Glacier is an experience no participant is likely to forget – surrounded by the most famous 4,000 meter peaks of the Bernese and Valais Alps, past awe-inspiring crevasses and a breathtaking view of the high alpine glacier scenery.
For this special adventure, we will pick you up at the meeting point and then continue on to the Jungfraujoch at 3,454 meters above sea level – the highest railway station in Europe! After roping up and putting on our helmets, our IVBV mountain guides will skillfully guide you across the glacier, ski pole in hand. They look forward to sharing their wealth of experience and general knowledge of the mountainous topography and specific mountaineering expertise throughout the day. The distance and pace of the glacier tour can be adjusted to the specific goals and abilities of your group.
After taking a break, you and your OUTDOOR guides will explore the impressive structure built atop the Jungfraujoch. You’ll be astounded by the size of the complex, which is a testament to the pioneering spirit of the late nineteenth century and a feat of engineering that continues to impress visitors. We’ll be visiting the highest vantage point on the Jungfraujoch, the “Sphinx”, the Ice Palace with its ice sculptures, the glacier plateau and the “Alpine Sensation” tour, which provides a detailed history of the impressive design and construction, including musical accompaniment. During the tour, you will learn all about the construction, maintenance and various purposes served by the Jungfraujoch.
This event is designed to facilitate team building:
This outdoor adventure offers an invaluable opportunity for participants to share memorable experiences. By allowing them to experience the natural splendor of the alpine glacier landscape, the activity also highlights sustainability issues that will inform your team’s actions in the future.
