Eiger north face – Stollenloch
Find your inner inspiration under the eye of the mighty Eiger.
Watchful and yet ominous, the legendary Eiger north face towers above the picturesque glacial village of Grindelwald near Interlaken. For centuries, the iconic peak has shaped the local culture and occupied a special place in the collective imagination of the international mountaineering community. The Eiger has been the subject of countless stories, films and oral traditions. Experience the mystique of the Eiger north face up close and personal. Our IVBV mountain guides offer the necessary expertise and provide the proper helmets and climbing gear for your first climbing attempts on Eiger north face – the Jungfraujoch railway will even make a special stop at the “Stollenloch” just for your group.
The guides from OUTDOOR will also take the opportunity to tell you all about the dramatic and spectacular first ascent of the Eiger north face and show you what climbing gear from the era was like compared to modern equipment. You’ll be astounded. While perched at an altitude of 2000 meters on the Eiger north face you can then enjoy sipping on a hot beverage while taking in the stunning views of the Grindelwald valley 600 meters below. After your unforgettable excursion through and on the Eiger north face, you’ll have the possibility to continue on to the Jungfraujoch by rail and/or take a gondola back to Grindelwald.
The “Eiger North Face” experience can be booked year-round and combined with various other offers, such as a guided tour and/or glacier hike on the Jungfraujoch. Sledding in the winter or hiking in the summer at the foot of the mighty Eiger north face both make for a memorable day as well.
This event is designed to facilitate team building:
This team building challenge establishes solid group dynamics, allows your employees to experience new things and promotes the formation of interpersonal bonds while enabling participants to go beyond their individual comfort zones.
