Itinerary

Meeting points
After a short train ride from Grindelwald to Alpiglen, our hike begins. The first ascent leads over blooming alpine meadows up to Rinderalp. Here, a wide view opens up into the valley where alpine farming has been practiced for centuries. The trail follows the outcrop of the Eiger North Face, a wall that fascinates climbers from around the world. Over old snow from last winter's avalanches, we continue towards Bonera, where stories of first ascents and dramatic expeditions come to life. After a break, the more challenging section begins: A steeper passage with ladders takes us down to the glacial forefield of the Lower Grindelwald Glacier. Here, the traces of climate change can be experienced up close. Our hike ends at the Glacier Gorge. A walkway leads deep into the gorge, the work of water and ice over millennia. The high rock walls, the roaring water, and the cool air hint at the forces at work here. An impressive finale for a hike that combines nature, history, and adventure.

Make sure we can reach you with current contact information in case your booking changes. Silence from us means your tour is still planned or the final call is not yet made. If we need to cancel, you can rebook, choose another activity, or get a full refund.
