Day 1

Meet your guide at Steingletscher and take the Via Ferrata route to the Tierbergli hut. At the hut you will enjoy coffee and cake and independently plan for the upcoming days, with your mountain guide acting as an advisor.

Day 2

On the second day you will begin to put your planning into action. A tour over the glacier will lead you to the Tierberglimmi. During this tour you and your mountain guide can assess the accuracy and effectiveness of your planning. Day 2 will place emphasis on the proper techniques for roping up and the importance of selecting the best route. You will practice rope handling on the west ridge. In the afternoon you will review the day and further discuss some of the techniques you put into practice.

Day 3

Planning and trip execution from the previous day will have prepared you for a tour to Sustenhorn at 3503m. On the descent, you will practice crevasse rescue and obtain further advice from your mountain guide. You will descend to Steingletscher and journey home in the afternoon.

Lunch is not included in the offer. We recommend bringing bars, dried fruits, nuts, or a sandwich. The amount you will need to drink depends on your individual needs and the length of the tour. Our tours and courses are led by IVBV certified mountain guides or mountain guide aspirants. We prioritise your safety by requiring regular training to ensure our guides have relevant, up to date knowledge.
