Itinerary

Meeting points
Meeting Point

The tour starts at the OUTDOOR Base in Interlaken. Alternatively, you can meet the group directly at Därstetten train station.

Drive to Därstetten

The drive to Därstetten takes about 45 minutes and leads along Lake Thun and through the picturesque Simmental.

Preparation
30 min

Once in Därstetten, you meet the rest of the group and receive an introduction to the tour. You then get given your westuits and shoes and head downstairs to get changed.

Once everyone is ready, you will be given helmets and life jackets before getting on the train for a short ride together to the starting point.

Activity
1.5 hr

Before getting into the boat, the guides provide a safety briefing. You will learn paddling technique and how to behave in the boat and during rapids. The first river section is calm and ideal for getting accustomed to the guide's instructions. Then come some bigger waves, gentle currents, and tight curves.

On the quiter sections, remember to look around and enjoy the beautiful Swiss countryside.

End of the Tour
45 min

After the tour, you change clothes and reflect on the trip with a complimentary drink.

If you booked without transport, this is where you say goodbye to the group.

Everyone else then travels back to Interlaken in our shuttle.

Weather is part of the adventure and can influence any tour. We continuously monitor the conditions and always operate within our safety standards — rain alone does not stop the experience. This tour runs in most weather conditions and is only affected if water levels become too high. If you don’t hear from us, your adventure is going ahead as planned.

Please make sure your contact details are up to date. If a cancellation becomes necessary, we will reach out and help you rebook, choose another activity, or receive a full refund.
