Overview

Recommended for: Anyone drawn to places that still feel untouched.

While everyone else heads to the bar, you're on a sled, watching the Alps light up one last time before night falls.

You glide through snowy forests while the mountains turn orange and pink. It's quiet up here, no valley noise, just snow under the runners. The last light holds for a few more minutes, then it gets dark and you keep going with a headlamp. Back in the valley, fondue is waiting, outside it's long since night and you're sitting somewhere warm.

Itinerary

Meeting points
The following itinerary is an example and may differ from the actual tour.
Meeting Point
15 min

You meet at our Outdoor base in Wilderswil. Please arrive about 10 minutes before the tour starts. At check-in, you meet your guide and get the gear you need. The headlamp comes with you, even though it's still light when you set off.

Transfer
30 min

The bus takes you to the valley station of the mountain lift. The exact route depends on the day, the location varies with snow conditions. What matters: there's snow up top and fondue waiting down below.

Gondola Ride
10 min

You head up with sled and mountain lift. The valley shrinks below you and the peaks light up in the evening sun. At the top, a short briefing from your guide: how to sled safely, what to watch on the route, when to switch on the headlamp.

Sledding Descent
1 hr

Off you go. The first 20 minutes give you the best light, gold, orange, then pink. This is when you take the photos. After that it gets dark quickly, and you keep going through the snowy forest with your headlamp. The track is unlit. The guide stays with the group and keeps the pace and safety in check.

Return to Interlaken
30 min

At the bottom of the track, the bus is waiting to bring you back to Interlaken. Time to warm up and work up an appetite.

Fondue
1 hr

In Interlaken, a classic cheese fondue is waiting, with bread and a glass of wine. You're sitting somewhere warm now, while outside it's long since night. Anyone with energy left can head to a bar afterwards.

Weather info

General weather info

Weather can influence any tour, and a clear decision is often only possible on the day itself. We review conditions carefully and remain within our safety limits, and bad weather alone does not mean we have to stop.

Make sure we can reach you with current contact information in case your booking changes. Silence from us means your tour is still planned or the final call is not yet made. If we need to cancel, you can rebook, choose another activity, or get a full refund.
