Day 1: Ascent to the Dossenhut

We meet at Rosenlaui and start our ascent towards the Dossenhut. We first walk through the forest. Again and again we cross the stream and thus gain height turn by turn. We leave the forested area and reach the glacier forefield of the Rosenlouwi glacier. The landscape becomes increasingly barren, rocky and glaciated. We climb up over the moraine to the Rosenlaui bivouac. Now we go into the rocks and a few secured short climbing passages await us. The path is exposed and offers breathtaking views. We climb higher and higher and finally catch sight of the Eagle's Nest - the Dossenhut.

Day 2: Descent to the Urbach Valley

Early in the morning we enjoy the beautiful view from the Dossenhut. Soon we start our descent into the Urbach valley. Today we experience the landscape in reverse to yesterday - first we descend over rocks and lots of scree before entering the alpine meadows. We follow the path to "Schrätteren", where the paths of the Gauli and Dossen huts meet. We wind our way along the mountain to the valley floor. Now the terrain becomes somewhat flatter and we hike to Mürvorsess. From here we can continue on foot or order a taxi to take us to Innertkirchen. A wonderful two-day tour comes to an end.
