Freeriding in Grindelwald means untouched slopes, breathtaking mountain scenery, and technical descents. Depending on conditions, we ride the open slopes in the First area or carve our tracks below the world-famous Eiger North Face. Whether wide turns in deep snow or steep couloirs, here you'll find the deep snow experience you're looking for.

Itinerary

Meeting points
Equipment Check

Before we start, we meet up, check our equipment, and adjust it to the current conditions. An avalanche transceiver, shovel, and probe are just as essential as a quick safety check, so we can head into the terrain with peace of mind.

Freeriding

Depending on the snow conditions, we choose the interesting slopes in the First area or carve our tracks below the Eiger North Face. Both options offer untracked lines, steep sections, and wide slopes. While First tempts with open, sun-drenched slopes, the 'White Hare' below the Eiger offers a technical, alpine character.

No matter which route we choose: The view of the mighty peaks of the Bernese Alps and the feeling of gliding through untouched snow make this day unforgettable. We take our time for the best lines, seek the perfect descent, and let nature guide us. We end the day with a broad smile as we head back to the valley.

Weather info

General weather info

Weather can influence any tour, and a clear decision is often only possible on the day itself. We review conditions carefully and remain within our safety limits, and bad weather alone does not mean we have to stop.

Make sure we can reach you with current contact information in case your booking changes. Silence from us means your tour is still planned or the final call is not yet made. If we need to cancel, you can rebook, choose another activity, or get a full refund.
