Snowshoe tour below the famous Eiger north face

You will meet your mountain guide at the Outdoor Shop and Café and receive any gear you may need. You will then go to the train station to purchase tickets for the Eiger Express up to Eigergletscher, the last stop before the Jungfraujoch. From Eigergletscher you will begin your snowshoe tour towards Alpiglen by traversing beneath the famous Eiger north face, with its impressive 1800m of rock and ice towering above you. In the early mornings during the first months of winter, the cold shadow of this peak reaches all the way to Thun. Your guide will be familiar with the rich and dark history of this mountain, and will share stories of tragedy, strategy, and success as you make your way along the path. When you reach Alpiglen you will have the chance to recharge with food and drink before continuing your hike down to Grindelwald. Those who do not want to hike the second part can take a train back down to the valley.
