Day 1: Ascent to the Albert-Heim-hut
After the meeting point in Realp, we check our equipment and set off straight away. We climb up to Tätsch parallel to the Furka Pass road. A short descent takes us into the little valley where the Tiefenbach comes down. Once again we put on our skins and climb over stepped terrain up to the Albert-Heim-hut.
Day 2: Ski tour over the Lochberg to the Chelenalphut 2340m
After a delicious breakfast, we set off early this morning towards Lochberg. A short descent and then it's uphill to the Winterlücke. Now we climb up to Lochberg with our skis on the backpack. Depending on the conditions, the ascent on foot is very demanding and exposed. Sure-footedness and climbing in blocky terrain should not be a problem for you. The subsequent descent to Göscheneralpsee is very steep and requires very solid skiing technique. After the descent, there is another challenging ascent to the Chelenalphütte.
Day 3: Ascent to the Sustenhorn 3502m and descent to the Steingletscher
Today, the route climbs steeply right after breakfast. After the first hour, it becomes a little flatter and we get into the rhythm. With a few hairpin bends, we soon reach the Sustenlimi. From here we can see the summit of the Sutenhorn. We continue to climb and reach the 3502 metre high Sustenhorn. Now a long and exciting descent over the Steingletscher and the glacier forefield awaits us. Tired and happy, we reach our accommodation at the Steingletscher.
Day 4: Ski tour to the Fünffingerstöcke and continue to the Sustlihut
Today, we climb steeply right after the start. We reach the Obertal valley, which we follow for a while before turning off to the Obertal glacier. Now we overcome another steep step before ascending to the ski summit of the Fünffingerstöcke on easy terrain. After a rest at the summit, we make our way to the Obertaljoch. Here we first descend steeply before reaching the ski area of Chli Sustlifirn. We enjoy the beautiful descent before reaching the Sustlihut after a short ascent.
Day 5: Ascent to Grassen 2946m and long descent to Engelberg
On the last day, we enjoy a somewhat shorter ascent to the 2946 metre-high Grassen. A magnificent and long descent into the valley of Engelberg now awaits us. Almost 2000 metres of skiing enjoyment in this unique mountain arena until we reach the flat pastures of the Goldboden-Alp at the bottom.
